Our Expertise

Commercial and Residential Real Property

We assist our clients with drafting and negotiating virtually every type of real estate document, including leases, contracts, declarations, easements, promissory notes, and security agreements. Our philosophy is to combine a thorough understanding of real estate law with pragmatic, real-life business experience to meet the needs of our clients in a comprehensive, cost-effective manner.

Land Use & Development

We have extensive experience that goes beyond a narrow definition of land use law and our experience encompasses all of the consulting disciplines involved in land development. We determine the uses that are possible on a parcel of property and identify potential problems a property owner may encounter during the reviewing process. We work closely with each client to understand the client’s objectives and lean on years of local government relationships to develop strategies for accomplishing those goals quickly and efficiently.

Estate Planning

We advise clients on basic estate planning techniques so they feel confident that their wishes will be honored after they die or become incapacitated. Documents we specialize in include the Last Will and Testament, Revocable Trust, Living Will, Designation of Healthcare Surrogate and Durable Power of Attorney. We also help families with their loved ones’ estates after their passing by providing probate services and advice.

The Approach

Our attorneys have substantial jury and non-jury trial experience, including prosecution and appeals. However, we recognize that litigation is a slow, expensive way of resolving disputes and work to get our clients the results they want by exploring other avenues. In order to better represent our clients with governments and agencies, we do not personally litigate.
